I believe in empowering a woman's transformation into motherhood. As a doula, I give the power back to the laboring woman by supporting her birth choices. I fully support and respect the decisions made by each family. Through prenatal communication, a relationship will form that will allow me to sense and fulfill your needs during labor. We will work to develop a birth plan so each member of the birth team is on the same page. My background as a pediatric nurse allows me to work well as a team member, appreciating the role of caregiver and partner. During labor, I use massage, pressure points, visualization, aromatherapy, and other non-medical comfort measures to ease pain. Emotions have a direct effect on birth, and I am there to support all of them.
